You'll graduate ready to enter an exciting, dynamic career. **How you learn:** All our courses are designed around a set of key principles based on engaging you with the world, collaborating with others, challenging you to think in new ways, and providing you with a supportive environment in which you can thrive. In this course, you'll learn to consider business and marketing from the outside in: closely examining consumer choice and how you can innovate to stand out. You'll have the option to undertake a placement year between your two years of study, and your final year allows for diverse elective modules and practical projects. Throughout, you'll benefit from expert teaching and a course emphasis on employability. You learn through: - formal lectures - seminars - problem-solving exercises - case studies - individual and group presentations - directed learning activities - live projects - blog and video production - business simulations - enterprise initiatives - student-led voluntary work - accreditation for part-time work **Applied learning - Work placements** You will have the opportunity to arrange a year-long work placement in between your second and third years. This gives you a real-world experience to prepare you for your future career. Previous students have gained paid placements at companies such as IBM, Adidas, Marks & Spencer and Disney. Over half our work placement students are being offered permanent posts with their placement organisations after they graduate. **Live projects** Throughout the course, you'll be expected to apply your knowledge to real-world situations. You'll take part in business simulations, have the opportunity to undertake voluntary and part-time work for academic credits, and will produce a fully-fledged product development proposal. **Networking opportunities** Sheffield Hallam's Marketing Student Society, of which you will become an automatic member, is one of the few such societies in the country to have links to the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). This will allow you superb networking opportunities, with masterclasses and links to business professionals in Sheffield and elsewhere.
