You’ll consider individuals and organisations, and the global context in which they operate. You’ll reinforce sound business knowledge with applied psychological studies — equipping yourself with versatile skills for a range of careers. **How you learn:** All our courses are designed around a set of key principles based on engaging you with the world, collaborating with others, challenging you to think in new ways, and providing you with a supportive environment in which you can thrive. On this course, you will develop a critical appreciation of applied psychology, including an understanding of psychological research methods and how they are utilised to research organisational settings. You will explore recent research in Organisational and Positive Psychology to understand organisational practices and their impact on employee health and well-being. In your business and management modules you will learn about the social context of business and organising, human behaviour in organisations, ethics, social responsibility of private companies as well as public organisations, human resources and entrepreneurship. You learn through: - lectures and seminars - group projects - one-to-one academic advice - work-based learning modules **Applied learning - Live projects** Through professional work-based learning modules, delivered in response to live client scenarios, you will develop a critical appreciation of the application of psychology to the study of business and management practice. **Placement opportunities** You will also have a choice of pursuing a work-based placement with a host organisation or an entrepreneurial project supported by tutors and mentors. Each option will focus on employability skills and applying theory from psychology to real-world practice. **Networking opportunities** Networking will be encouraged through a dedicated modules focused student society. You will liaise with SHU alumni members, professional body representatives and SHU industry sector, business and occupational psychology networks.

Standard Qualification Requirements

This must include at least 64 points from 2 A Levels or equivalent BTEC qualifications. For example: BBC at A Level DMM in BTEC Extended Diploma. A combination of qualifications, which may include AS levels and general studies

Access - an Access to HE Diploma with at least 45 credits at level 3 and 15 credits at level 2. At least 15 level 3 credits must be at merit grade or above, from a QAA-recognised Access to HE course, or an equivalent Access to HE certificate.
