You work with real businesses and develop solutions while continually building your own profile with hands-on experience and industry interaction. You tailor your learning through specialist and elective modules taught by experts from the world of business and academia, in state-of-the-art facilities. You learn through: - lectures and seminars - in-class discussions and debates - field trips - group tasks - individual projects - digital learning platforms - case studies - formal presentations to peers and businesses - fully considered business plans - reflective journals - project reports - gamification **Applied learning - Work placements** You will have the opportunity to arrange a year-long work placement in between your second and third years. This gives you a real-world experience to prepare you for your future career, and useful industry contacts. Previous placement years have taken place at organisations such as 3M, BAE Systems, Hoya Lens UK, Microsoft, River Island Clothing and Asda. There is also an opportunity to receive support in running your own business during this time. The Placement Year Enterprise Scheme allows you to receive a bursary from the University's Research and Innovation Office, alongside useful advice and facilities in the business centre. This support is also available for up to five years upon graduating. **Field trips** There are field trips that take place throughout the course. **Networking opportunities** With frequent guest speakers, a placement year and a close relationship with the local business community and our alumni, there are ample networking opportunities throughout the course. There is also extensive extracurricular activity in this field, particularly from the highly active, student-run Enterprise Society.

Typically you need • 120 year one credits with at least an overall merit from a relevant business HND, foundation degree or equivalent or • 120 year one credits with a minimum overall mark of 55 per cent from a relevant business degree
