**About the Course**
The purpose of the HND in Performing Arts is to develop students as professional, self-reflecting individuals able to meet the demands of employers in the Performing Arts and adapt to a constantly changing world. The qualification aims to widen access to higher education and enhance the career prospects of the students who undertake them.
Not only does the HND provide students with academic understanding, it also enhances their career prospects and contribute to their personal development. The Higher National Diploma qualification embeds throughout the programme the development of key skills, attributes and strengths required by 21st century employers; this generally refers to skills in five main categories:
Cognitive and problem-solving skills (e.g. critical thinking, problem solving, generating and communicating ideas creatively)
