**IF YOUR PASSION IS DESIGNING AND DEVELOPING COMPUTER GAMES, THEN THIS IS THE DEGREE FOR YOU!** For the consecutive year, SGS has been voted **number 1 for overall degree satisfaction in Bristol!** (National Student Survey 2020 and 2021) The Foundation Degree Computer Games Design and Development is taught in the creative city of Bristol. Bristol is a lively student city, which has a growing independent computer games and development scene. This programme will be delivered at our University Centre WISE (UCWISE) at our WISE Campus, where the majority of our degrees will be taught. On successful completion of this Foundation degree, students will then be able to progress onto our 1 year level 6, Games Art Production(Hons) programme to complete the full degree. This exciting degree will give students the opportunity to specialise in a range of different media. The degree is built around a variety of different teaching and learning contexts. This course is assessed by coursework and there are **no formal examinations**. Students will work closely with tutors, technicians, peers, and under supervision in work-based environments and will carry out directed and self-directed work. During independent study time students will be expected to engage with essential research and prepare and complete assignments. The staff involved in teaching this degree all have industry experience. The Foundation Degree is a qualification in its own right and is equivalent to the first two years of a degree. The majority of our students will progress onto a one year top up course to complete their full degree. If you love playing sport, you could continue to play at an elite level whilst studying your degree. Our well-structured Sport Academy programmes will provide you with the professional training required to compete at the highest levels. Our Sport Academy provides, professional coaches, training, BUCS competitions(where appropriate), strength and conditioning, sports therapy and some of the best sporting facilities in the South West of England.
