**IF YOU HAVE A PASSION FOR SPORT, THAN THIS COULD BE DEGREE FOR YOU!** For the consecutive year, SGS has been voted **number 1 for overall degree satisfaction in Bristol!** (National Student Survey 2020 and 2021) This programme will be taught at our University Centre WISE (UCWISE) site, which offers some of the best sporting facilities in the South West.The FdSc Applied Sports Coaching and Physical Education degree is designed to support students in developing interpersonal skills alongside contemporary professional knowledge and contextual industry experience. This programme **focuses on employability** and applied practice with targeted approach on developing students understanding of pedagogy; psychology; professional practice; coach development; human movement; creative learning approaches and physical education Students are fully integrated within our sports departments and work with high performance athletes within our excellent facilities. Students have the opportunity to develop their teaching abilities, knowledge and experience of curriculum activities. Engagement in real-world experience is integral to this programme and students have opportunity to conduct research in sport environments and within the local community. SGS has an excellent reputation for its sporting facilities and students study in a supportive and friendly environment. You will be assessed via a variety of methods and there are **no formal examinations.** If you love playing sport, you could continue to play at an elite level whilst studying your degree. Our well-structured Sport Academy programmes will provide you with the professional training required to compete at the highest levels. Our Sport Academy provides, professional coaches, training, BUCS competitions(where appropriate), strength and conditioning, sports therapy and some of the best sporting facilities in the South West of England.
