THEN THIS 2 YEAR ACCELERATED DEGREE COULD BE THE PROGRAMME FOR YOU!** For the consecutive year, SGS has been voted **number 1 for overall degree satisfaction in Bristol!** (National Student Survey 2020 and 2021) This popular degree is taught at our University Centre WISE (UCWISE) site, which offers **some of the best sporting facilities in the South West.** This 2 year accelerated degree aims to produce coaches with a passion for their profession and an understanding of the skills needed for **coaching novice to elite performers.** This Applied Sports Coaching and Performance Degree aims to develop innovative and knowledgeable coaches, who are able to* excel in a wide range of environments.* If you are motivated by the challenge of working with adults or children and have a passion for helping others to enjoy and improve their sporting abilities, then this degree is for you. Our fast-track degree will help you develop a strong evidence-based approach to coaching built upon scientific principles and technical understanding. An appreciation of coaching approaches and learning styles will be developed to maximise the impact and effectiveness of coaching practice. You will be assessed in a variety of methods and there are **no formal examinations.** All students on this programme will have the opportunity to work in the local sports community. We have close links with local sports clubs and partners, providing you with **excellent opportunities to be involved in high quality sport and sports coaching.** If you love playing sport, you could continue to play at an elite level whilst studying your degree. Our well-structured Sport Academy programmes will provide you with the professional training required to compete at the highest levels. Our Sport Academy provides, professional coaches, training, BUCS competitions(where appropriate), strength and conditioning, sports therapy and some of the best sporting facilities in the South West of England.
