Course Summary

This degree approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) leads to registration as a social worker. The course is delivered by our academic team of qualified social workers who are all experts in their field, users and carers - including the Citizens as Trainers Group - and colleagues from partner organisations who are practicing social workers. This course will develop your academic and professional skills preparing you for the demanding role of a social worker. The values based curriculum is grounded in the understanding of the diversity of people’s background, religion and culture. It will provide the knowledge, skills and expertise required of social workers in the provision of contemporary professional care. Course Details - Modules

This course is designed to educate and prepare you for your future career as a registered social worker. As a qualified social worker you will be required to investigate, analyse and evaluate new methods and new philosophies, as well as be able to respond to needs in a flexible and imaginative way. The integrated teaching style is intended as a preparation for your future career in social work. We aim to inform, encourage, support and engage students, tutors and practice teachers in collaborative learning. We all bring our individual experience, values and ideas with us and we want to share and hear them. The course includes practice learning throughout, which allows you to put your learning into practice in real-life situations
