Our BSc Management will equip you with the skills required to flourish within the rapidly changing environment in which organisations operate and compete, and become a confident manager or business practitioner. You will gain an insight into a broad range of management issues in key areas such as strategic management, marketing, finance, operations management, human resource management, organisational behaviour, accounting and managerial economics. You will also obtain the transferable skills that allow you to understand the consequences of your managerial decisions. The course attracts a wide range of people, including administrators, clerical workers and managers from both the public and private sectors, as well as self-employed people and those wishing to gain specific knowledge of management and business. Our tutorial/seminar sessions give you a chance to interact with your peers and develop insights into analysing and interpreting a wide and varied subject matter. **Highlights** - Based in the School of Business, Economics and Informatics, the Department of Management is an internationally recognised centre of excellence in teaching, research and consultancy in the broad field of management. Our academic staff are active researchers as well as enthusiastic teachers, and regularly publish cutting-edge articles in the world's leading journals. - We have particular research strengths in international business and strategy, the management of innovation and entrepreneurship, human resource management, corporate governance, sport management and marketing, as well as financial management and accounting. - You will have access to Moodle, our online learning resource, where all information and materials relating to your programme of study and modules are available, as well as the Birkbeck Library and e-Library. - Our BSc Management is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). Graduates from this programme also receive a Level 5 Certificate in Management and Leadership, provided they successfully complete the following modules: Research Methods in Management and Research Project: Management.
