**Environmental Management is about understanding science and its relationship with the environment. Gain a broad, basic understanding of environmental studies to prepare you for our full honours BSc Environmental Management degree. You will have the opportunity to develop and practice your field skills and a part-time study option is available.**
Our foundation year pathway is an excellent route for those either seeking to develop their career in a new direction, or those returning to education as it will provide you with a strong foundation in environmental management.
During the Environmental Management Foundation Year you will study modules which will help to increase your knowledge and understanding of the social and natural sciences necessary for understanding contemporary environmental issues. You will also benefit from taking part in free field trip opportunities - usually to the Peak District and Lyme Park - where you will develop and practice your field skills.
If you are interested in sustainable development and planning, if you want a career in a new, developing and challenging area, and want to improve the environmental performance of organisations or help to mitigate global climate change then Environmental Management is for you.
