If you’re thinking about starting a career in construction and property, returning to education or want to progress in industry, our HNC Construction course is ideal. The course features technical and practical aspects that aim to satisfy industry and employer needs. You’ll study a wide range of construction-related topics with the option to specialise in your interests.Successful completion can lead you to progress to one of our built environment degrees. Our HNC Construction is designed for full-time and part-time students with an interest in the built environment, but with little or no knowledge of construction. Delivered full-time over eight months, it provides a solid platform from which to progress. Using a range of credit modules, we’ll introduce you to industry processes and practice, including construction technology, building services, legal and contractual procedures, and management. You’ll also use the knowledge you gain during the course to complete a final project. If you choose part-time study, you will complete these modules across a second year of study. Our graduates have progressed to work for many local and national organisations, including Balfour Beatty, Bramhall Construction, Laing O’Rourke, Manchester City Council, New Charter Housing Ltd, Northwards Housing and United Utilities. **Features** - Develop your knowledge about the practicalities and legalities involved in constructing, managing and maintaining a site - Learn about both the scientific and technological aspects of construction and property - Cover financial aspects such as tendering, estimating and property valuation - Build your presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
