Our industry-designed three-year course will provide you with essential computer science knowledge and specialist cyber security skills, delivered to professional standards and ready to prepare you for a rewarding and exciting career. The Foundation Year aims to provide understanding of the key subjects in computer science to meet the prerequisites for study on the associated degree programme. The key areas of study will be effective communication and study skills combined with key subjects in computer science. You will cover the basics of programming, as well as looking at the detailed operation of computer systems. Furthermore, you will cover essential mathematics and gain the correct skill set for success on the related computer science course. Following completion of the Foundation Year, you will progress on to year one of your selected degree for the remaining three years of your course (or four with a placement year).
