**Creaking transport networks and dwindling water supplies are not the only 21st century challenges facing civil engineers. An increasingly digitised and connected world is driving greater efficiencies and sustainable practice. With growing demand for qualified civil engineers, our MEng (Hons) Civil Engineering degree is the gateway to a challenging and rewarding profession.**
Led by our IStructE award-winning team, we’ll equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to create the infrastructure of the future.
Course content is drawn from across the civil engineering spectrum. You’ll study structures, materials, mathematics and geology. You’ll build knowledge in design and construction management, highways and geotechnics. You’ll experience Constructionarium - a practical residential field course at the National Construction College. With our MEng pathway, you’ll advance your studies to postgraduate level with modules in geotechnical engineering, structures, structural design and detailing, and water resources.
Our Civil Engineering courses scored 95% for overall satisfaction in the National Student Survey 2020 (University of Salford analysis of unpublished NSS 2020 data)
