Chemistry at Salford integrates the core branches of organic, physical, inorganic and analytical chemistry in a package that meets the needs of employers for highly skilled chemists. You will also gain experience in sustainable chemistry, a vital area of the modern chemicals industry, known as ‘green’ chemistry.

Examples of research areas include nanotechnology, drug design and re-purposing, cancer and antimicrobial research, and environmental assessment.
