The Health Care Foundation Year (Year 1) aims to provide you with an understanding of the basic concepts of health care. The course also develops your skills and knowledge to prepare you for successful progression onto a degree course (Years 2-4). The Health Care Foundation Year, will provide a solid foundation and potential pathway into one of our degree programmes such as BSc Nursing (Adult). The key areas of study will be effective communication and study skills and you will be introduced to basic theories and concepts within disciplines.
