The programme has been developed in response to the acute shortage of suitably qualified entry-level technicians to build sets for the rapidly expanding Theatre, Film and Television industries in Wales and beyond.
Key Features:
- Technical Skills - taught skills in carpentry, metalwork, welding, fork lift truck driving, core computer software packages & access equipment training
- Industry Practice - develop an insight into the theatre & television industry
- Professional Placements - five placements across the two years, either at RWCMD’s workshop & theatres or with industry partners
- Industry Partners - Bay Productions, Cardiff Theatrical Services, Bad Wolf (4Wood) & Wild Creations
- Top up Degree - the option to top up to BA (Hons) Design for Performance.
