Accounting demands a range of transferable skills, including quantitative, analytical and decision-making skills, and perceptive abilities. You will develop a good understanding of accounting and the environment in which it operates and the ability to apply a wide range of accounting skills and competencies, from preparing financial statements to interpreting complex material and relating theory to practice. The BSc Accounting has been designed to allow you to focus predominantly on accounting modules, while learning the supervisory and management skills that will give you the confidence to take on more challenges in the workplace. In your third year, option modules allow you to tailor the course to your interests, such as marketing, organisational behaviour or international finance.
