The BA Sports Management degree is designed for those who have a strong interest in the sustainable management, development and delivery of sport within local communities. The programme will develop skills is assessing the needs of local communities, and the various management and development tools to apply to those situations in an effort to serve those needs. The programme will develop within students an entrepreneurial spirit required for professional careers in the management of sport. The programme will introduce students to key aspects of the sustainable management of sport with a specific focus on serving local communities and to develop aspects of entrepreneurship within those communities. The degree has been developed with input from local and regional sports organisations, most notably Crystal Palace Football Club, and the Lawn Tennis Association. As the programme has been developed with direct input from the sport and business community, this ensures the employability of graduating students in meaningful areas of business and sport.
