Course Summary

Developed in response to an increase in learning and training requirements for paramedics, this course is delivered in collaboration with the Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS). Learn the necessary skills that are in demand now and in the future, within unique remote and rural placement locations. As a Paramedic you will play an integral part in the National Health Service. Not only will you deliver front-line emergency care on road ambulances, you’ll also work in a number of advanced paramedic practice areas such as primary care and critical care. To meet the needs of this rapidly diversifying profession, this course will provide you with the knowledge and skills to confidently deliver complex high quality care across the life-span to your local community. This is a varied, challenging and highly rewarding profession where you can make a positive impact to people’s lives.

This program is funded by the Scottish Government and therefore it is only available, at present, to Scottish domiciled students. Scottish domiciled students are not required to pay fees for this course. Although a tuition fee is displayed, all costs for the course fee are met directly by the Scottish Government to the Institution, on the students behalf. Therefore students do not need to apply via SAAS for course fees but may choose to apply for living and support costs loan.
