You will explore the international history and theory of filmmaking and photography, looking at the milestones within both industries as well as the pioneers and their key achievements. Industry-leading guest lecturers will provide their perspective on the exciting worlds of film and photography, provoking discussion and critical thought. In the second part of this programme, there’s a strong emphasis on the practical as you’ll be specialising in filmmaking, as well as the development of photographic techniques, with a choice of electives from Documentary Theory and Production to Animation and Motion, Scriptwriting to Advanced Digital Video. The home of many world-leading film production companies and photography studios, London is a fantastic location for this programme and you can do an optional internship with a London-based film or photography company.
