Course Summary

Study a degree that’s tailor-made for you. A Liberal Arts degree at Regent’s gives you the freedom to design your own education, tailoring your degree to reflect your interests and career goals. With eleven majors and 50 elective modules to choose from, you’ll have the flexibility to create your own unique degree – mixing modules to shape your studies freely, in a way that suits you. Offering a balance of creative writing and literary studies, the Literature & Creative Writing major exposes you to the power of language and trains you to employ it as a vehicle for meaning. You’ll examine a wide range of texts written by authors from diverse backgrounds and build compelling arguments that relate texts to the historical, geographical, cultural and socio-political contexts that inspired them. Writing classes will train you to tell authentic stories and will help you find your voice as a reader and a writer. As you study, you’ll benefit from Regentʼs proximity to London’s rich literary sites and world-famous theatres, where you can see literary works brought to life. Specialise in Literature & Creative Writing and pair it with a mix of elective modules each year – helping to develop your specialist knowledge as well as your cross-disciplinary thinking. You’ll also be able to minor in a second subject, becoming an expert in multiple interlocking areas – connecting themes and topics across disciplines. January start date – apply on our website. September start date – apply through UCAS.
