Course Summary

Film & Screen programmes offer you opportunities to explore your creativity while ensuring that this is supported by excellent skills and knowledge. This pathway develops the next generation of scriptwriter-producers for the screen - individuals equipped to work as key creatives at the very top of the audiovisual industry. The twin disciplines of screenwriting and producing are at the heart of the film and television industries and the showrunner is the highest achievement that a creative writer-producer can achieve. The programme is devised and taught by industry professionals to train and educate you in writing industry standard screenplays, from short films to TV pilots to a feature script in the third year. You will also produce your own films, graduating not only with a portfolio of creative writing, but of produced work and the skills to budget, plan, shoot and distribute your own films in a constantly changing media landscape. Key features include: - Study abroad opportunities at leading institutions around the world including the prestigious Vancouver Film School and PACE University in New York among others. - Industry placement module that offers you the opportunity to gain first-hand experience of working in industry.
