Film & Screen programmes offer you opportunities to explore your creativity while ensuring that this is supported by excellent skills and knowledge.
The modern film industry is changing rapidly and with opportunities to exhibit ever more available for film makers. You will spend three years developing your creativity, your voice as an artist, your technical skills and your visual confidence as a storyteller.
This programme, created and taught by film and media professionals, will enable you to not only develop your own film-making style but to do so in a range of platforms including advertising and campaign and documentary.
You will learn how to tell stories through film from a 45 second advert through to a short film of your own making.
You will use the internet creatively to produce material and communicate ideas, as well as learning the traditional skills of directing, producing, sound, lighting, camera, editing and production management.
Key features include:
- Study abroad opportunities at leading institutions around the world including the prestigious Vancouver Film School and PACE University in New York among others
- Industry placement module that offers you the opportunity to gain first-hand experience of working in industry
- In your final year you get the opportunity to produce an individual project of your own
- Flexibility and choice of pathway within the Film & Screen programme which allows you to change direction before the start of the 2nd year of the undergraduate degree
