Course Summary

Get your accounting career off to a Flying Start with Queen Mary, PwC and ICAEW. Our new BSc Accountancy (Flying Start) programme will fast track your career in Business and Accounting and put you on track to becoming an ICAEW Chartered Accountant. This bespoke programme is a collaboration between the Queen Mary University of London, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). During your studies, you will learn technical and theoretical accounting skills with academic specialists who are experts in their field and experienced practising accountants. You will be supported by a team of dedicated staff from both Queen Mary’s School of Business and Management and PwC, who will help you develop the business skills you need to gain a degree and progress towards a professional qualification. Built into the course is a series of paid work placements, meaning you will have the opportunity to apply the technical theory you learn in the classroom, directly to the workplace. You will get to work on real projects for real clients as part of PwC's assurance team and develop new skills and gain a broad knowledge of business issues. You will receive technical training during the paid placements, which will take place during years 2 and 3 of the programme.
