**Overview** This course is for those with overseas dental qualifications who have been recommended to study local anaesthesia by the GDC. If you're looking to broaden your dental skills, this Local Dental Anaesthesia short course will help you to specialise in the field. You'll learn how to safely deliver local anaesthetic to patients, and reflect on working in a primary care environment in the UK. Learning on this course includes clinical activity and the provision of care to patients within the Dental Academy. Standard Qualification Requirements


An existing Dental Hygiene qualification from a country outside of the UK. The documented GDC learning outcome requirements following the GDC Dental Care Professional assessment. All applicants will need to attend an interview. Applicants must pass Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and Occupational Health checks before starting the course.
