On this BSc (Hons) Creative Media Technologies degree course, you’ll develop the abilities you need to create engaging content across all types of media. Year 2 Core in this year include: - Project Initiation and Career Management - Form and Function (mixed media development) Optional modules in this year currently include: - CGI Lighting and Look Development - Creative Coding Practice - Creative Technologies Study Exchange - DIgital Identities in the Creative Industries - Digital Photography - Digital Sound - Engaged Citizenship through Interdisciplinary Practice - Interaction Design - Foreign Language - Mobile Application Development - Production: Camera and Editing - Production: Short Film Making - Professional Experience - Rich Media Website Design and Delivery - Sound Design and Music for Games - Student Enterprise - Virtual Reality Development Placement year (optional) On this course, you can do an optional work placement year between your 2nd and 3rd years to get valuable experience working in industry. We’ll help you secure a work placement that fits your situation and ambitions. You’ll get mentoring and support throughout the year. Course Details – Assessment Method

You’ll be assessed through: - practical projects - working journals - academic and evaluative essays - performances - oral presentations - examinations - case studies You’ll be able to test your skills and knowledge informally before you do assessments that count towards your final mark. You can get feedback on all practice and formal assessments so you can improve in the future. The way you’re assessed may depend on the modules you select. As a guide, students on this course last year were typically assessed as follows: - Year 1 students: 17% by written exams, 17% by practical exams and 66% by coursework - Year 2 students: 24% by practical exams and 76% by coursework - Year 3 students: 7% by written exams, 7% by practical exams and 76% by coursework
