Course Summary

The BA (Hons) Live Events Production is a specialist top-up programme, designed for students who already hold a level 5 qualification in a relevant subject. This course aims to provide graduates with the right set of technical, academic and interpersonal skills to cater to the demands of modern music, theatrical and corporate production and an environment where technology evolves rapidly. The UK is a leading contributor to the global Live Events sector and has a vibrant community of technical specialists in the fields of audio, lighting and visual projection. Graduates will leave the course with the requisite skills to be able to work as independent live events practitioners across a variety of disciplines and a high quality portfolio to support future applications for industry. The course is highly vocational and students will participate in real live event productions both within the college facilities, providing a service and resource for other Arts and Performance courses and work experience for external events working alongside commercial partners. The course encourages and embeds interdisciplinary teamwork as well as the knowledge required of working as a freelance practitioner and/or employee.
