Course Summary

Train to be an accomplished Musical Theatre performer and stand out from the crowd by treading the boards at the Theatre Royal Plymouth. Dissect original productions like NHS The Musical, build links with local performers and get on stage with major events like the Plymouth Fringe and our very own May Festival. Learn through hands-on workshops and masterclasses with trained performers. Develop your singing and acting-through-song skills in our award-winning theatre, The House, used by international touring companies, and build your dance technique in our purpose-built, sprung-floor studios. No more waiting in the wings, create an extensive musical theatre portfolio, supported by our renowned academics who’ll get to know you personally. See the impact performance can have on changing perceptions and addressing pressing social issues. At Plymouth, your degree really is what you make it. From the second year, you can choose to add modules from any of the School of Society & Culture’s 17 disciplines. So you can learn first-hand how technology can transform musical theatre with a module in Music Technology. Or you could pen your own musical with modules in Creative Writing.
