The BA Early Childhood Studies with Foundation is a four year programme of study that includes a foundation year which offers access to those wishing to study at university and who do not have the standard entry profile for Year 1 BA study. The programme also offers entry to degree study for those who may be returning to study, those who may have relevant professional/workplace/voluntary experience but do not have the required academic entry profile for level 4 entry and for those whose qualifications may be outside the subject area. We offer high quality teaching, a stimulating learning environment and a programme in which you will fe1el well supported and ready for the challenges of degree study.

In your Foundation Year (year 0), you’ll acquire the knowledge and skills you’ll need to progress through your studies and become a confident, independent learner. You’ll take four 30 credit modules which will introduce you to a range of education-related topics whilst preparing you for degree-level study at the University of Plymouth.
