The Sport Development and Coaching foundation degree is a two year course designed with employers from the sports industry. After the course, you may further your studies into a third year to achieve a full Honours degree. The course covers academic study and workplace learning to support your employability. Course Details - Modules

Course Lead, Sport Development and Coaching; In the first year you will learn about the process of sports coaching and how that operates. There will also be time spent on learning about sport management and how governing bodies lead sporting programmes. During the second year you can choose to learn about sports marketing, event management or inclusion in sport, to name just a few.

Course Details – Assessment Method

You will be assessed via a number of methods including, essays, reports, presentations, practical coaching assessments and industry based assessments of applied practice. Most assessment is coursework based although there are a small number of modules that are assessed via multi-choice tests or exams. Assessments are designed to assess both academic and applied aspects of the programme.
