This course is designed specifically for students who want to work in the wine trade or start their own wine-related business. It combines a practical and theoretical understanding of core business skills, the wine trade and wines of the world up to WSET Diploma level. This course also includes a work placement module, numerous guest speakers and opportunities to visit European vineyards.

Course Details - Modules

This is a unique course to the United Kingdom. The programme is built upon three core themes that run throughout the degree, namely business skills, the UK wine trade and wine appreciation. The programme structure for a full-time student, completing the course over two years is as follows: Year 1 - 120 credits (Level 4) Year 2 - 120 credits (Level 5) Full module information is available on our website. 2 A levels at grade CD (or above)


1. Minimum age 18 years old (on entry) 2. 5 x GSSE (minimum grade C/4) including English, Maths and Science 3. A pass grade or higher at the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines 4. Qualifications expected, usually in the form of: • 2 A-levels at grade CD (or above) • 56 UCAS points • or relevant BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma at MPP • or International Baccalaureate at 24 points • or relevant industrial experience if over 21 years of age Students with English as a second language will be required to have gained IELTS level 6.0 overall with no less than level 5.5 in any component of the test.
