The programme will allow students the opportunity of studying topics in Psychology in some depth.
The following modules are taught:
First year modules include Social, Developmental and Behaviourist Psychology; Cognitive and Biological Psychology; Research Methods 1; Developing Graduate Skills; Applying Psychology; and, Psychology and Crime.
Second year modules include Research Methods II; Individual Differences; Social Development of Children; Psychopathology; Counselling Studies; and, Psychology of Health and Illness. As the course is aimed at both those who have recently finished education and those who may have been out of an education setting for a while, we have a course aimed at developing the skills needed as a graduate, including reflective writing and a work placement. Modules are assessed by a variety of methods which include coursework, examinations, presentations, seminars and research reports.
