This programme will suit students with an interest in Engineering. There are three different pathways that can be followed:
Electronic and Electrical Engineering -
This programme will suit students with an interest in electrical and electronic engineering. The programme will teach you core engineering principles and has been devised to enhance and fill the skill gaps for higher professional technicians or employees looking to up-skill.
Mechanical Engineering -
This is specifically concerned with design, development, installation, operation and maintenance of just about anything that has movable parts. As a result, there are job opportunities for mechanical engineers in practically every field of work. Industries entered include aerospace, defence and energy as well as the manufacturing of industrial and domestic products, drugs, furniture and foods.
General Engineering -
The HNC in General Engineering offers you the opportunity to study the discipline of engineering at technical level, and as such provide you with a qualification that reflects your theoretical and practical knowledge at level 4. Manufacturing Engineers help design in the most efficient ways to produce goods across a huge range of industries from food to plastics and pharmaceuticals. You could also work in utilities or even the armed forces.
