Course Summary

How do we balance the need for economic growth with environmental sustainability? How can businesses maintain their profits while managing resources? How can companies be part of the solution to the global climate crisis? On this course, you’ll learn about key principles including innovation, entrepreneurship and sustainability that underpin business and management across the globe. You’ll also explore our relationship with the earth, the impact of changes in ecosystems and how government policies affect both corporate and human behaviour. You can tailor your studies through a wide range of optional modules, so you can specialise in areas that interest you and align with your career goals.

Course Details - Modules

Your first year covers the foundation of human geography and geographical information science, as well as organisational behaviour, consumers and markets. In year two, you will typically take core modules in geography, including those related to economic geography and preparation for your dissertation. In year three, the dissertation is the only core module and you are encouraged to select a business-related aspect of geography to study. Alongside this, you will choose from a range of advanced geography and business modules, appropriate to your degree and career aspirations and your year-two optional choices.
