**This exciting new Level 4 Higher National Certificate course has been designed to equip students with the skills, experience, knowledge and understanding required to achieve high performance in the global business sector.**
**For the course scheduled to begin in January 2022, course delivery is planned to run through continuously until the end of August 2022.**
**About the course**
There is a strong emphasis on employability; equipping you with a relevant portfolio of skills and experiences to enter a currently challenging job market. These skillsets and knowledge are essential for students with entrepreneurial, employment or academic aspirations.
Content is designed to be appropriate for entry to or within the business sector and to enable students to progress onto higher-level study on our Level 5 Higher National Diploma and Level 6 BA (Hons) Business Studies top-up degree courses.

Assessment is continuous, providing a range of evidence of your learning. This may include: essays and reports, individual and group presentations, research and analytical projects, oral and practical assessments.

Level 4 Higher National Certificate in Business - awarded by Pearson.

We want our courses to be accessible to students from any background, so we’ve put together a cash support package in the form of non-repayable bursaries to provide financial help where it’s really needed. **Your career and progression**
From the Level 4 HNC course, students can progress to the Level 5 Higher National Diploma and Level 6 BA (Hons) Business Studies courses (or similar).
The skills and knowledge gained through studying this course can provide graduates with the opportunity to work in many diverse areas of business including: banking and finance, retail, sales and marketing, hospitality, customer service, public administration and the voluntary sector. Many of our previous business graduates have gone on to postgraduate study or teacher training.

Standard Qualification Requirements
Typical Offer: Applicants should normally possess (or expect to achieve) a minimum of 48 UCAS tariff points.
All applicants will receive due consideration and a wide variety of educational and other lifetime experiences can be taken into account.
For entry to our university-level courses, we expect applicants to be working (or to demonstrate competency) at Level 2 or above in English Language/Literacy and Mathematics/Numeracy.
Generally, we accept GCSE passes in English Language and Mathematics at Grades 9 – 4 (formerly Grades A* - C).
Experienced mature applicants (those aged 21 or above at the start of the course) with relevant professional or industrial experience and/or qualifications are very welcome to apply.
