This degree will prepare you for the role of a 'qualified' social worker, a protected profession that is regulated by Social Work England (SWE) It has been designed to enable you to progress into employment and integrates both academic and practice work-based modules. Evidence-based practice and research underpin work in the social work arena so you will explore what works in practice settings. In Year One core modules may include: Preparing for Professional Social Work Practice, Reflective Assessment and Intervention Strategies, Life Course Development in the Social Context. In Year Two the modules may include: Practice Placement One, Engaging with Professional Social Work Practice, Legal and Statutory Responsibilities and Social Policy. Final year modules include: Practice Placement Two, Delivering Professional Social Work Practice and Working with Individuals, Groups and Families.
