In the foundation year, you’ll attain the academic and practical skills required which will enable you to progress onto the first year of your degree course, provided the relevant progression criteria are met. In the last year we’ve spent £250,000 on new equipment for our teaching laboratories including telescopes, CCD cameras, ultrasound scanners, magnetic resonance spectrometers, high speed cameras, thermal imaging equipment and a high resolution 3D printer.
