Accredited by the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG), this course has consistently high satisfaction rates. It explores the world that we share, and the physical and social processes associated with it.
The course includes the chance to go on residential field trips both in the UK and overseas (these currently include Spain, North Wales and Derbyshire).
You will gain the skills to tackle some of the most pressing issues we face today. You’ll examine issues of global concern, including environmental hazards and disasters, sustainability, resource management, migration, and globalisation. There is a focus on employing cutting-edge technologies such as geographical information systems (GIS), unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and remote sensing equipment to manage human and natural resources.
Our uniquely positioned, rural Brackenhurst Campus acts as an outdoor classroom where you can put your learning directly into practice and gain a wealth of practical-based skills. It’s only a short hop to the bright lights of Nottingham city centre though, so you really do get the best of both worlds.
