The rapid emergence of "Big Data" brings challenges: there is now an urgent need for graduates skilled in the sophisticated mathematical and computational techniques required for large-scale data analysis. This course equips you with the analytical and technical skills needed to become a talented data scientist. You'll develop key computer science skills, becoming proficient in several programming languages as well as database design. You will also learn extensive mathematical and statistical theory and techniques, applying this knowledge to a range of problems linked to processing data.
