BA (Hons) Film and Moving Image Production is a Creative Skillset accredited course focusing on developing original ideas and practice across all aspects of filmmaking and production. From week one, you will be filming on location, working in production teams, to develop innovative concepts. Our industry standard media labs provide facilities to develop technical and craft skills in editing and post production and its professional film studio provides opportunities to further your practice and specialist skills in direction, sound design and scriptwriting. In your final year you will write, produce and direct an original short film, alongside undertaking specialist roles on a number of productions and develop a strategy for distributing your film to festivals, events and online including BFI Southbank, Munich Film Festival, SOHO International Film Festival, Los Angeles International Student Film Festival and a special screening at the Norwich Picturehouse cinema, Cinema City.

Course Details – Assessment Method
The University assesses you through the coursework you produce as you complete each unit. Each unit will require you to present a portfolio of work which may include finished pieces of work, written work, your research, and a reflective journal which allows you to evaluate your learning and highlight your strengths and areas for further development.
