You are a budding business strategist who is passionate about the fashion industry and wants to understand the marketing mechanics behind big name and challenger brands on the catwalk and high street. Our new BA (Hons) Fashion Marketing and Business degree course will offer you an insight into the commercial fundamentals, marketing strategies and core brand development techniques that are used to run the fashion industry today. You’ll create dynamic marketing campaigns, retail concepts, buying proposals and business plans that will allow you fully understand and operate within successful fashion businesses. As you build your knowledge of fashion marketing, you will develop skills that are sought after by employers, including marketing and promotional strategies, international fashion branding, fashion retail and visual merchandising, and fashion buying and merchandising. You will follow in the path of graduates from our sister course, Fashion Communication and Promotion, who are set-up for successful careers after work experience and internships at brands such as Vivienne Westwood, Jimmy Choo, Net A Porter and Adidas.
This course includes a Year Zero, which promotes developing practical, technical and creative skills and confidence for the following three years. Building on your prior experience, you will be introduced to some of our workshops to assist your skill development, with an increasing emphasis on professional standards and independent study. The course places emphasis on your personal commitment to study, while supporting you in your progression.

Course Details – Assessment Method

Each unit will require you to present a portfolio of work which may include finished pieces of work, written work, your research, and a reflective journal which allows you to evaluate your learning and highlight your strengths and areas for further development.
