While your creativity is informed by the content, you are encouraged to be experimental and inventive, exploring the possibilities each brief offers. This course, accredited by Creative Skillset, has developed a high industry profile through a long history of student success in national and international competitions. Working in the large open plan design studios, you will be encouraged to explore print, paper, book binding and other print formats alongside screen, interface and other digital design media. Some of the most influential professional designers, such as David Pearson (Type as Image), Gordon Beckett (The Sunday Times) and Hannah Wood (Little, Brown), inform course content, contribute to our lecture series and set live briefs. You will graduate with a diverse portfolio which demonstrates your unique approach and showcases your technical competency and creative flair, concluding your final year with a degree show and an opportunity to exhibit at D&AD New Blood. This course includes a Year Zero, which promotes developing practical, technical and creative skills and confidence for the following three years. Building on your prior experience, you will be introduced to some of our workshops to assist your skill development, with an increasing emphasis on professional standards and independent study. The course places emphasis on your personal commitment to study, while supporting you in your progression.
