Hair, Make-Up and Prosthetics for Stage and Screen BA (Hons) is specifically designed to provide you with a varied practical skills-set to prepare you for a career within the make-up and special effects sector of the ever-growing creative industries. With a placement opportunity and a focus on the etiquettes of industry environments, the course has a strong employability focus. Alongside practical and employability skills, the programme provides historical and cultural academic contextualisation of hair, make-up and prosthetics across a range of stage and screen contexts. **STAGE 3**
- Professional Skills and Industry Etiquettes in Hair, Make-Up and Prosthetics (Compulsory)
- Breaking the Mould: Advanced Prosthetics (Compulsory)
- Lights, Camera and Action: The Spectacle of Stage and Screen Effects (Compulsory)

Course Details – Assessment Method
The majority of the course will be assessed through practical assignments and presentations which will equate to approximately 70% of your final grade. There will also be written assessments in the form of reflective sketchbooks, critical portfolios, character and case studies and essays. Finally, there is a work based placement assessment and this, along with all other written assessments, will equate to approximately 30% of your final grade.
