Course Summary

The course is aimed at professionals working with Children and Young People, who have already qualified to Level 5 and wish to obtain graduate status. Students are prompted to take increasing responsibility for their own learning, thus developing independent learning. This course aims to equip students with higher-level skills and knowledge, thereby enhancing their employment and promotion prospects in working with children and families in a variety of settings. Students will look at each module in depth and approach it with critical thinking whilst reflecting on the social aspects that face children and young people. On successful completion of all the Level 6 modules, you will have achieved a BA (Hons) Working in Integrated Services for Children and Young People. Potential progression routes include Early Years Teacher Graduate Practitioner Pathway (GPP), Graduate Teacher Course (GTP), Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), Nursing pathways or Higher-level study at Masters or PhD. The course is designed to support the government’s strategy to build a world-class workforce for children and young people in the UK.
