BA (Hons) Sport Development with Coaching not only offers a fresh and relevant curriculum for the modern sport student, it has been specifically designed to equip students with the skills needed for academic and vocational success both on and off the sports field. The ‘development’ strand focuses on aspects of sports management, sport sociology, sport policy and sport events, while the ‘coaching’ strand develops an understanding of established and innovative grassroots, community and elite coaching techniques and leadership styles. It is the evolution of former successful courses, BSc (Hons) Sport Coaching Science and BA (Hons) Sport and Exercise Studies.
The course is taught in dedicated facilities on one campus. The Human performance lab, indoor sports hall, strength & conditioning suite, aerobic conditioning suite, group exercise studio, full size outdoor 3G pitch, dedicated seminar rooms and staff offices can be found within a 100 yard radius of each other.
