The BA Honours in Business Management programme seeks to help you develop competencies and skills essential for a range of careers in the private, public, or third/voluntary sector. It offers you opportunities to develop your skills in presentation, data analysis, report writing, and the use of business software. During your studies, you will be able to meet business practitioners through guest lectures and other events such as recruitment fairs. You will have access to management, enterprise and leaderships modules, which are considered desirable by a large number of UK employers. Additionally, At Level 5 you will undertake a mandatory work related learning module. At Level 6 you will study two specialisation electives, with problem-based and research-led learning approaches. You will learn to process and analyse both structured and unstructured data and/or information, act as an effective team member and engage in ethical and sustainable decision-making processes.
The programme includes:
- The choice of specialist routes in Year 3 (Level 6) in one of the following strands:
- Innovation Management
- International Business
- Marketing
- The flexibility to transfer to the BA Accounting and Finance programme, upon successful completion of the first year (Level 4) of the BA Business Management programme, should you wish to do so.
- A virtual learning environment (VLE) facilitating mixed-mode learning opportunities and assessment activities.
- Learning progression supported by academic and personal tutoring, complemented by a wide range of Student Support services at University level.
