Standard Qualification Requirements
Including Biology and excluding General Studies and Critical Thinking. For Biology, Chemistry and Physics A levels, we require a pass in the practical element.
To include Biology. Mathematics and English Language required at National 5, minimum grade B (or grade 2 Standard Grade or Intermediate 2 equivalent) if not offered at Higher Grade. Scottish qualifications can be taken in more than one sitting.
To include at least 15 level 3 credits in biological sciences. (In the case of former Higher Education Foundation Courses, all modules must have been achieved at Distinction and include Human Biology.) Before you embark on an Access to Higher Education course we would advise that you contact us to assess the suitability of the course.
A minimum of 34 points in IB Diploma including Biology at Higher level grade 5 or above.

Medicine and Veterinary Science graduates are accepted. BSc degrees must contain at least the equivalent Biology which would be expected of an A Level applicant with grades B in this subject, and be achieved at 2.1 Honours standard or higher. We do not accept applications from BDS/BChD graduates.
