Standard Qualification Requirements

ABB in any subjects excluding General Studies and Critical Thinking. . For Biology, Chemistry and Physics A levels, we require a pass in the practical element. GCSE grade B or 6 in GCSE Mathematics and Physics (or Dual Award Science) required if not offered at A or AS level.

To include Maths and Physics, and preferably one other science

In a relevant area of engineering or physical science. Must include 45 credits at Level 3, of which 30 credits must be at Distinction and 15 credits at Merit or higher. Grade B or 6 in GCSE Physics (or Dual Award Science) and Maths required if not offered at a higher level.

We welcome applications from students offering an Extended Project and value the skills of research and independent learning that it is designed to develop. If you offer an Extended Project, it will be taken into account as part of your application profile, but we will not usually include it in offer conditions for this degree programme.

Preferably including Maths/Maths Studies and Physics at Standard Level. If Maths is taken at Higher Level students should apply for the H300 BEng Mechanical Engineering.

Overall DDD in an engineering discipline, to include Distinction in Mathematical units and a minimum of Merit in analytical science units.

H1H1H1H2H3 at Higher Level. Mathematics and Physics preferred at Higher Level but accepted at Ordinary Level Grade O3 if not offered at Higher Level.

D3,M2,M2 in Principal Subjects. GCSE grade B or 6 in Mathematics and Physics (or Dual Award Science) required if not offered at a higher level.
