The area of mental health work is expanding and new roles have been developing at a fast pace. This qualification aims to assist individuals working in a mental health setting to gain the skills and knowledge needed to respond to these developments. It is also aimed at volunteers with a keen interest in the area of mental health work. The foundation degree is a two year full-time vocational degree programme where practice is assessed alongside academic ability.
