As a student on this course you will join our higher education community and be taught by highly experienced and professional lecturers. The course focuses actively encourages independent, critical thinking and a mixture of group and individual work, allowing you to develop your understanding of key concepts, principles and practices in biology.
Our HNC/HND focuses on equipping individuals with the knowledge, understanding and skills needed to succeed in or advance your employment in biologically-based industries or complete a top-up course at University . Through the study of mandatory core and relevant specialist units learners will cover much of the underpinning knowledge, skills and understanding required for success progression into higher level study or entry into vocationally relevant employment.

In addition to these mandatory core units, learners will study a variety of specialist units giving a broad technical knowledge and understanding of aspects of applied biology.
